3 Tips to Get Your Network Marketing Team to Take Action

MLM is a great business model that depends on a collective effort in order to succeed. How do you get your Network Marketing team to take action though? We will cover just that in this article.

We will all agree that when it comes to Network Marketing or MLM, as it is sometimes called, teamwork makes the dream work is a very accurate saying. There’s no way of being successful in MLM, that I know of than building a solid organization through a consented team effort.

I decided to keep these steps as simple as possible and not want to overwhelm you with information that will probably lead to analysis paralysis. Here are the 3 steps.

  1. Regular Team and One on One Training

I cannot stress the importance of this point. Most people fail in MLM because they basically leave their recruits out to dry once they join the business.

You do earn for recruiting a prospect in most MLM companies but you will be leaving a lot of money on the table if they don’t actually work and duplicate your efforts. To this end, it is important that you make the effort to train your team on a regular basis.

I recommend that you do at least one team call per week as well as other one on one sessions where you provide mentorship to individual team members and help them through particular problems they may be facing.

This kind of arrangement helps your team stay motivated knowing that they can count on you and also allows them to duplicate the same system to grow their own teams.

For this to be effective, you need to keep your first tier team members to a minimum. I say this because there are only a specific number of team members that you can personally manage. How many that is exactly depends on your capacity as well as the company you are promoting.

Train these top tier recruits on how to duplicate and you will eventually have an organization that grows exponentially with time.

Team Building Tools

There really is no need to do these meetings in person especially in this day and age. Zoom meetings are a great way to keep in touch on a regular basis. You can also create a Telegram group where you post regular training videos which can also be used as a resource by members of your organization.

  1. Build Masterminds and Communities

The idea behind a Mastermind group is to create a platform where people with different skill sets gather to contribute towards a common or individual problems within the group.

Ideally, one person presents a challenge and different people help brain storm solutions to the problem. It has been proven that when you put two people in the same room to think through a problem, their collective brain power takes on a 10x effect.

 

Add a third person and that brain power is increased exponentially. The more people you add, the more power is at your disposal. You, however, want to keep the group at a size where it is effective. Usually 2 to 12 people is ideal for a Mastermind.

Communities are another great way to grow your team. A community is where people share their problems and help each other solve them. You have a situation where more experienced members help out those who are just joining.

It is also a place where people can post encouraging content and testimonials to encourage others who may find themselves discouraged. I have personally received a lot of help and encouragement from being part of a community especially in times when I’ve wanted to give up.

  1. Provide Promotional Tools

Most MLM companies will provide you with tools to help you promote your business and grow your network. From experience though, some of these tools may not work effectively in some communities such as Africa.

In this case, you may need to come up with tools that help promote the business that are more relevant. In Zimbabwe and most parts of Africa, WhatsApp and Telegram are great ways of keeping in touch with the greater part of the community.

Instead of using automated email marketing which is not as widely used in our communities, you can have someone create a WhatsApp or Telegram Bot that acts as an email auto responder and marketing tool.

There are other ingenious ways that you can implement that are relevant to your community. Use your Mastermind group to figure out other ways through which you can help your team grow faster and in an easily replicable way.
